Candidate Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree from top-tier school with exceptional academic achievement
- Two years work experience with a leading investment banking or strategy consulting firm
- Mature and professional candidate who is a self-starter willing to accept a large amount of responsibility
- Personal tie to and/or desire to be in Texas
- Excellent analytical, financial and modeling skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong work ethic, ability to multi task, resourceful
Job Description
Targeted as a two-year, pre-MBA Associate position.
Due to the small firm culture and environment, Associates are given significant responsibility and will be relied upon for a wide range of due diligence and analysis, including work in support of existing portfolio companies.
Specific responsibilities to include:
- Financial analysis, construction of complex financial models, deal structuring
- Assisting in all aspects of transaction execution (negotiations, due diligence, documentation)
- Assisting in identification and evaluation of potential investment opportunities
- Composing letters of intent and other deal related documents
- Portfolio company monitoring and special projects
- Participating in meetings with management teams, M&A intermediaries, and financing sources
