Express Foods Group, LLC
Express Foods Group has developed and opened 21 restaurants since its founding in 1984. Nineteen of these restaurants operate as Café Express, a successful high-end fast casual concept. The remaining two operate as Café Annie, one of Houston's top fine dining restaurants; and Taco Milagro, a Mexican-themed fast casual bistro.
CIC Partners made a growth capital investment in EFG in 2000. A year later, Wendy's made a minority investment in Café Express and provided additional growth capital. In 2004, Wendy's purchased a controlling interest in Café Express.
