River Point Farms
River Point Farms, headquartered in Hermiston, Oregon in the fertile Columbia River Basin is America's largest grower, packer and processor of red, yellow, and sweet onions. The company operates in locations from the Northwest United States to Chile and provides restaurant, retail and foodservice customers who require scale and sophistication whole and processed onions.
River Point Farms was created in April 2007 by the merger of American Onion, Inc. and Rivergate Farms, LLC with a major interest purchased by CIC Partners. The management and owners of both companies retained a significant ownership and continue their involvement as officers and directors of River Point Farms. Mike Rawlings, Managing Partner of CIC and former President of Pizza Hut, serves as Chairman, and Jim O'Neal a CIC Operating Partner and former President and CEO of Frito-Lay International and Senior Vice President, Operations, at Frito-Lay serves on the Company's board of directors.
